CASE STUDY 001

Harlow's Accidental Journey

Our first book, made for the founder's mom, became the starting point for the BookVizion process—from story development and likeness approval through finished spreads and print.

It is an early, real-world look at how one personal idea can move through a visible review process and become an illustrated book.

Behind the coverA visible path from family story to finished book.

This is the kind of private project view every BookVizion client would receive: the current stage, the proof being reviewed, and one clear approval at a time.

FROM PHOTO TO PAINTING

The likeness gets dialed in.

These are genuine production assets from Harlow's book: the real cat, her approved storybook portrait, and the refinement passes that brought the likeness home.

…through three rounds of refinement.

Four genuine stages from Harlow's production show the likeness being adjusted, tested, and finally approved.

01 / THE PROCESS

You bring the spark.
We build the book.

No publishing maze. No handoff into a black box. You approve each gate, and you can see the work taking shape.

01

You upload

Send a voice memo, Word document, PDF, photographs, rough notes—or talk the idea through. It does not need to be polished.

02

We craft

We shape the storyline, define the visual world, and build character likenesses that stay consistent from page to page.

03

You approve

Your private review site keeps the whole project visible. Tap a gate to preview what you would review.

04

We print & ship

Once you approve the final proof, Lulu, our print partner, produces and ships the finished book as a quality printed keepsake.

03 / GOOD TO KNOW

A few straight answers.

The creative part should feel open. The working relationship should feel clear.

01Who owns the rights?

You do. Your story and finished custom book remain yours. Any public use—such as a portfolio case study—would be handled with your permission.

02How long does a book take?

The timeline is set at kickoff. It depends on the length of the book, the condition of the source material, and how quickly approvals come back.

03How do revisions work?

The approval gates define the scope. We approve the storyline before likeness work, likeness before full spreads, and spreads before print. Reopening an earlier approved stage can affect schedule and cost, so changes are handled where they belong.
